Email templates
TrustPort sends a few emails on your behalf. Rewrite them in your own voice, preview them, and send yourself a test before your users see them.
In the dashboardEmails
The emails
| Template | Sent when |
|---|---|
| User invitation | An admin invites someone |
| Password reset request | Someone uses Forgot password |
| Email verification | An email address needs confirming |
| Email OTP / magic link | A one-time sign-in code is requested |
The list shows whether each template is active and when it was last sent.
Edit a template
- Open it
Choose Edit on the template.
- Change the subject and body
Each template has a subject, an HTML body and a plain-text body for email clients that don't show HTML. Keep both versions saying the same thing.
- Preview, test, save
Preview renders it with sample values. Send test email delivers it to the address you enter. Then save.
Placeholders
Placeholders are filled in for each email. Write them exactly as shown:
| Placeholder | Becomes |
|---|---|
{{.OrgName}} | Your workspace or brand name |
{{.UserName}} | The recipient’s name |
{{.ActionURL}} | The link they should open: accept, reset, verify or sign in |
{{.ExpiresIn}} | How long the link is valid |
{{.Code}} | The one-time code (sign-in code email only) |
Subject: You've been invited to {{.OrgName}}
Hi {{.UserName}},
You've been invited to join {{.OrgName}}. Accept here: {{.ActionURL}}
This link expires in {{.ExpiresIn}}.Turn an email off or start over
- Untick Template enabled to stop TrustPort sending that email.
- Reset to default brings back TrustPort's original wording.
Turning off the invitation or password reset email means people never receive those links, so they can't accept invitations or recover their accounts.
