Admin Portal
Skip the back-and-forth of copying certificates over email. Send your customer’s IT admin a secure link; they enter their identity provider details themselves, and you review them in the dashboard.
Send a setup link
- Pick the organization
The customer must already exist as an organization. Only workspace owners and admins can create links.
- Generate the link and send it
Copy the link into an email or your support tool. It is valid for 30 minutes, so send it when the IT admin is ready, or generate a fresh one later.
What your customer sees
The IT admin opens the link, without signing up for anything, and fills in a short form:
Protocolchoicerequired- SAML 2.0 or OpenID Connect.
IdP entity IDSAMLrequired- The identifier of their identity provider.
IdP sign-on URLSAMLrequired- Where users are sent to sign in, e.g. https://idp.example.com/sso.
Signing certificateSAMLrequired- The PEM certificate their provider signs assertions with.
Issuer URLOIDCrequired- Their OpenID Connect issuer, e.g. https://idp.example.com.
Client IDOIDCrequired- The client ID they created for your product.
Contact emailoptional- Who to reach about this connection.
Review the submission
Choose the organization to see what was sent and when. Check the details, then finish setup under Organizations as described in Set up an enterprise customer.
Generate links from your own app
If your product has its own settings page for enterprise customers, generate the link from your backend and show it there:
curl -X POST https://id.trustportidentity.com/api/v1/organizations/portal-link \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $TRUSTPORT_API_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{ "organization_id": "<organization-id>", "intent": "sso_onboarding" }'The response contains the link and when it expires. Add an optional return_url (https) and the portal shows the admin a button back to your app.
